WOODMONT — When the popular Woodmont Farmers Market returns for its eighth season on June 17, new additions will make it almost one-stop shopping.
Loccated at the Robert Treat Farm, at the corner of New Haven and Merwin avenues in Milford, the market will be open every Wednesday through September 2, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., rain or shine.
The market offers a wide variety of Connecticut items such as fresh fish, pasture-raised beef, poultry, locally-grown vegetables, seasonal fruit, baked goods, pasta and specialty food items. Each week spotlights guest food trucks, artisans and live music.
Additions this year include baby salad greens, poultry, pasta, ravioli, meatballs and italian ice, as well as more food trucks - dessert, Big Green Truck Pizza, Coco Tamale and a fourth rotating food truck, spokeswoman Katie Krauss Murphy said.
Owner Mary Treat and her staff will welcome returning vendors Gambardella Seafood, Smith’s Acres’ locally grown produce and fruit, and Connecticut Gourmet’s artisanal breads. Click here to continue reading.
