United Airlines said it would try to keep middle seats empty. This photo shows a nearly full flight

    United Airlines is not known for keeping promises to customers. They are the ones that dragged a paying customer off of a flight after he was seated to make room for an employee to take his place. I have never flown them since, and have no plans to start.
