NORWALK, Conn. -- The residents of the Notre Dame Convalescent Home in Norwalk will be a little cozier this winter thanks to the efforts of some local volunteers.
Last month, members of the Knights of Columbus St. Matthew Council 14360 and Sean Mitchell, a student at Fairfield’s Notre Dame Catholic High School, winterized all the windows at the home.
“These residents need comfort during these Connecticut winters, so we lent a helping hand to keep them warm and keep the heating bills down,” said Grand Knight Scott Criscuolo.
The volunteers also cleaned up the basement at the 60-bed residence on West Rocks Road.
The nonprofit facility is operated by The Sisters of Saint Thomas of Villanova.
